5歳よりバレエをはじめる。2005年から2008年までボリショイ・バレエ学校で学ぶ。2007年全国バレエコンクールin Nagoya 男子ジュニア部門第1位。2008年に国立バレエ・モスクワにソリストとして入団。2010年ペルミ国際バレエコンクールで金賞受賞。2010年より国内のカンパニーで活躍、当時のレパートリーに、『チッポリーノ』のタイトルロール、『白鳥の湖』の道化、ベンノ、パ・ド・トロワ、『眠れる森の美女』のブルーバード、『くるみ割り人形』の王子、『シンデレラ』の王子、『海賊』のアリ、『ラ・バヤデール』のソロル、ブロンズ像、『ロミオとジュリエット』のロミオ、マシューシオ、アシュトン『ピーターラビットと仲間たち』』ねずみくんたちなどがある。 2018年4月、東京バレエ団にソリストとして入団し、直後にアシュトン『真夏の夜の夢』パック役でデビューした。 その後のレパートリーに、ブルメイステル版『白鳥の湖』の道化、四人の道化、『ドン・キホーテ』のセギディーリャ、ジプシー、マカロワ版『ラ・バヤデール』のブロンズ像、ワシーリエフ振付子どものためのバレエ『ドン・キホーテの夢』のセギディーリャ、ベジャール『ザ・カブキ』の勘平、『ボレロ』などがある。バレエ団初演作品に『ライモンダ』（第3幕より）（18年）がある。
Shoma Ikemoto, Principal
Born in Hiroshima, Japan, he began his ballet training at the age of five. In 2005, he entered the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and graduated in 2008. He joined the Ballet Moscow as Soloist. In 2010, he won the Frist Prize at the Russian Open Ballet Competition "Arabesque 2010". He joined The Tokyo Ballet in 2018, promoted to Principal, 2024. His repertoire with The Tokyo Ballet includes Clown in Swan Lake, Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker, Bronze Idol in La Bayadère, several lead roles in Maurice Béjart's works including IV-SHI (La Mort) in M, Solo in 7 danses grecques, L'Oiseau in L'Oiseau de Feu, Bugaku, Son second - La fille in Le Mandarin merveilleux, and Étoile in Harald Lander's Études. He performed in The Tokyo Ballet premieres of Le Corsaire (2019, Lankedem, Ali), John Cranko's Romeo and Juliet (2022, Romeo) as well as in the world premieres of Saburo Teshigawara's Remains of a Cloud (2019), Jo Kanamori's KAGUYAHIME (2023, The Mikado), and the Company's new production of The Sleeping Beauty (2023, The Blue Bird).
